June Genesee Forge Meeting

We had 14 people turn out for our June meeting including signing up a new member Blythe. So what happened…

The demo was a traditional pass through joint from David Robertson’s class.

Harry Heuer gave a really nice talk on his take off on using copper tubing for handles.

Also, John Rausch demonstrated the “bean can” forge and its usefulness.

Newer member Tracy Davis treated us to two of his copper pieces

Thanks to all who came.  Unfortunately we did not have critical mass for Iron In the Hat, but thank you to those that brought items.  Let’s all try to make July’s IIH worthwhile.  Our next meeting is Saturday, July 21st at our shop in the Rochester Arc and Flame Center.  Please note that there are several great instructors coming to Rochester.  Our primary mission as the NYSDB is the preservation and promotion of the craft.  Please help to promote this new school in our own backyard.  If you need brochures, call them direct or contact Candy.
