Ten blacksmiths met for the Southern Tier January meeting. Members discussed scroll types, aspects of scroll design and scroll jigs. Bill Banker demonstrated his ratcheting scroll jig. Members worked at the anvils making scrolls and tooling for scrolls. After a chili lunch and a informal meeting members returned to the forge for more scroll work. Henry Offerman demonstrated a hinge eye forming jig and several members practiced making hinge eyes.![]()
